I finally arrived back home in Southeast Texas about 9:30 his morning. After leaving Allentown PA Thursday night we spent the night in Winchester Va. We had a beautify drive Friday down the I-81 corridor, one of my favorite scenic interstate drives.

We entered North Carolina and drove through Asheville NC through my beloved mountains into the Nantahala Gorge.

Dad and I got back to Tate Ga about 8 pm and had dinner with my Mom at Two Brothers BBQ in Ballground Ga. I had not had any good BBQ in a long time. I've been eating at Two Brothers since I was a little kid.
My trip to Chattanooga was postponed so after packing up some belongs I had a Mom and Dad's, I said goodbye to them and dropped by my good friend Phil's home. Phil has a O scale model railroad that takes up the entire basement. Phil models the narrow gauge section of the the Denver and Rio Grande between Chama and Antonito.
After visiting wih Phil I had dinner at Slopes BBQ in Alpharetta Ga with my son Braden before hitting the road to Texas. I drove all night with a couple of stops at rest areas to sleep a little on the way. After driving almost 4 thousand miles I arrived home in time to say hello to my family as they walked out the door to church. I spent most of the day in bed catching up on some sleep.
Tonight was Milton Bell's 85th birthday party at the Jefferson Theater in Beaumont. Charlene and I attended and visited with many of my friends and business colleagues.

It was a wonderful evening and it was so great to see so many people. Mr. Bell had a wonderful time and so many of his friends and colleagues came out to celebrate with him. Happy Birthday Mr. Bell.
